Simply Connect the Philips Hue motion sensor to your Philips Hue bridg e (sold separately) via the Philips Hue app*. Using the app, select the room where the sensor has been placed and set it to automatically turn on your Philips Hue Lights (also sold separately) when someone enters that room. The app can also be used to pick which light scenes or settings should be triggered when motion is detected, and when to automatically turn the lights off again after motion has ceased. Choose different settings for day and night. Different times of the day require different types of lighting. No need to be jolted awake by bright light when you get out of bed at night, or have insufficient light to see during the day. The app lets you differentiate between daytime and nighttime light settings. For example, the sensor can be programmed to trigger a more gentle light at night, and set for bright white light during the day to help you see better while doing everyday tasks. Illuminate your space only when needed. The Hue Motion Sensor also has an integrated daylight sensor, so your lights turn on only when you need that extra bit of light. Freedom from wires. Physical set up is also hassle free. The motion sensor is battery powered with no additional wires, allowing it to be placed anywhere in your home. Set it on a shelf or table, use the included magnet to attach it to metal surfaces such as your refrigerator, or mount it to a wall or ceiling using the included screw.
